You are not a
You don't have to figure everything out before taking the next step. Sometimes you just need a space where you can say what you're really thinking, question what you've always believed, and hear yourself again.
You can start exactly where you are.
Work with Dawn →I didn't learn this
from a textbook.
I've spent much of my life trying to make sense of things I couldn't control — raising a child with complex needs, marriage, loss, complicated relationships, faith, and a career I once walked away from and eventually found my way back to.
Some seasons were beautiful. Others brought me to my knees. Most were a little of both.
Along the way, I learned that having all the answers was never the point. I learned to ask different questions, question things I once accepted without thinking, and recognize when I was carrying something that was never mine to hold forever.
I bring those experiences into my writing and coaching. Not because I have life figured out, but because I know what it feels like to question everything you thought you knew and wonder whether everyone else somehow got a handbook you missed.
The more honestly we share what we've lived, the more we realize we're not nearly as alone as we thought.
Not perfect. Just real.
The story behind
She Let Go(d)
surrender, and letting go.
I started writing She Let Go(d) for my daughters. I wanted to give them the roadmap I never had — the lessons I learned through love, heartbreak, motherhood, loss, faith, and a lifetime of trying to make sense of things I couldn't control.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I was writing for more than just them.
She Let Go(d) is a collection of the experiences that shaped me, the beliefs I questioned, the people who changed my life, and the things I eventually learned to release. It isn't a story about having all the answers. It's about telling the truth — including the parts that aren't particularly pretty — and discovering that surrender is not the same thing as quitting.
